Learning: A Never Ending One
Learning: A Never Ending One
Nellie Tanglib
Learning,
they say is, never ending. It is something that lets the mind acquire something
after another. Learning, in the first place, is a vice, a vice that is
addicting when enjoyed. I can say that, we can never say we accomplished a
tasked or answer our curiosity without going through a lot of challenges. DevC
144 or Information and Communications Technology for Development, is yet
another subject that gives a student enrolled in it a dose of what learning and
its process is like. This is with the reason that after every challenging task
is a fulfilling feeling and a pride for doing something and doing the best you
can to finish such task.
At first, every task to me means
something that is too difficult to do but eventually understand that this is
just the start for something real. It is more like looking at the tip of the
iceberg without considering that below the water is something bigger. Something
that is only discovered once you go deeper. As what they say, don’t focus on
what you see but go further on what is behind the surface.
Producing a promotional video, as
compared to that of the iceberg, seems to be so easy at first but is never an
easy task once started. There are several factors that can and will make it
even harder as it seems. First would be time. Time in a way that vacant time
among members isn’t the same. This then leads to another which is the
availability of everyone in the group. The good thing however is that, despite
differences in terms of vacant time is that every member tries their best to do
their given tasks upon agreed time. Everybody might not be present in every
meetings but are still able to do what they are expected to. A group, after
all, is composed with several individuals that are expected to help each other
to reach their ‘common’ goal.
The best part in a
group work is the conflict between members that are given resolutions
afterwards. Conflict among members is and will always be a part of learning as
it makes the group even more efficient when solved. Also, along the process is
when you get to know each other in some ways that you don’t always do. And so
for me, this activity made me understand and know more of the path I am taking.
This task made me learn things and one of which is that in every challenge is a
way to get through it despite difficulties.
